Corrosion Djinn is a fast and accurate technical ‘app’ that enables designers and engineers to easily assess, compare and choose coatings, treatments and materials to minimize corrosion risk and severity.
We have always been taught that potential differences drive corrosion – but in reality, it is the ‘galvanic current’ that determines the corrosion rate. Corrosion Djinn calculates this corrosion current using the reliable curve-crossing technique.
Whereas galvanic tables are outdated and static, behind Corrosion Djinn lies a unique, high quality, modern database of electrochemical data. This is continuously updated with new materials, coatings and treatments such as Al alloys 2000, 6000, 7000, precipitation hardened steels, carbon fiber composites, ZnNi coatings and trivalent passivates.
